The City of Nice organizes the traditional festival of Malonat which is dedicated to the Virgin in order to thank her for having driven from Nice the scourges of plague and cholera. The statue of the Virgin is carried during a ritual procession in the old Nice. A tradition that has not suffered any interruption since 1854.

Here, the Alps fall into the sea. The alpine arc finishes its race by offering a dip in the big blue. From Nice to the Monegasque border, tourists from all over the world come to contemplate this spectacle by browsing the Corniche roads. From the edge of these cliffs and eagle nests, the gaze is absorbed in the contemplation of the marine immensity before landing on Cap d'Ail, Cap Ferrat, the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer, the Cape of Nice and, of course, the Bay of Angels. Not a moment of respite! In the west, the river Var has designed a vast alluvial plain surrounded by hills.
